Oven-Cooked Bacon

Image
Lay slices of bacon on a wire rack in a shallow pan. Bake in hot oven (400F) about 10 minutes, or until the desired crispness. This bacon needs no draining and browns evenly from end to end without curling.  This method is recommended when cooking large quantities because bacon requires less watching and needs no turning at all.

This is a lean meat usually cut in thin slices. Place slices in a heavy skillet and cook over low heat about 5 minutes.  Turn slices frequently. When done, the lean part is a red brown and the fat is a light golden brown.  It rarely requires draining.

Cookie in a cookie

Cookie in a cookie Seems like such a simple - Simply awesome - Idea for a cookie! And yes I seen this om tv. Chocolate chip cookie dough Oreo cookies Parchment paper I used store bought dough! Place parchment paper on your favourite cookie sheet. Make an oversized semi thin cookie shape on parchment, press an oreo into the center, then wrap the dough up and over the oreo. Fyi: A store bought tube will make 8. Bake as you normally would, but remove a bit early to keep cookies soft. Remove quickly from cookie tray and let cool before eating. On tv they used these 2 at a time to make ice cream sandwiches. My taste tester said "yummy" and the oreo was still crunchy! "Bon Appetit!"
